With most of the country experiencing a heat wave, what better way to cool off than enjoying some kayaking on the river. Unfortunately, most of us don’t live right next to a great white water kayaking spot. We have to haul our kayaks on roof mount or kayak trailers to enjoy those rapids. So where should we go when we load up those kayaks? Fasttrackracks.com has the answer with the top 5 whitewater kayaking destination across the country (in no particular order).

Westwater Canyon, Colorado River, Utah
Class III and IV rapids will let you experience mix of excitement and clam as you pass through beautiful canyon walls comparable to the Grand Canyon.

Gauley River, West Virginia
One of the top 10 paddling destination in the world, this is a must if you’re in WV. With over 26 miles of river to traverse, you’ll enjoy every wave.

Upper Yough, Maryland
Big rapids. This class IV-V river holds action packed rapids. A true whitewater experience to for the most seasoned kayaks out there.

Skykomish River, Washington
Kayaker beware! This class V river will have you rocking and rolling and is for the experienced thrill seeker only. This is an unyielding journey on Washington’s biggest white water runs.

Rogue River, Oregon
Right by my hometown, this river starts near Crater Lake and makes its way through the Siskiyou National Forest on its way to the Pacific Ocean. There is a great 35 mile section through the Wild Rogue Wilderness Area.

So wherever your kayak adventures take you, FastTrackRacks.com has all the gear to to get you there.
